Southwest Agri-Plastics
announces its newest product line, Dura-Bench Ultra Greenhouse
Bench Top. Designed to replace traditional wood, metal and
wire bench top, Dura-Bench Ultra offers a
tougher, longer lasting growing surface while eliminating problems
associated with other bench top materials.
The new Dura-Bench
Ultra plastic bench top is engineered to replace
wood, wire, and expanded metal on greenhouse benches. The
2’x4’ (8 sq.ft, nominal) non-porous polypropylene
plastic panel is designed with 1.1” x 2.1” rectangular
holes for easy cleaning, and is engineered to interconnect
with other Dura-Bench Ultra panels with
nylon clips to create a smooth, flat bench surface. The Dura-Bench
Ultra is durable, smooth, non-porous, and allows
trays, flats, and pots to slide across the surface without
snagging. The panels will not rot, crack, or splinter like
wood products; and it will not corrode, rust or have sharp
edges like expanded metal or wire tops. Attaching the Dura-Bench
Ultra to metal, wood, or a pipe substructure is
fast, and easy using stainless steel screws. With (2) pre-molded
plastic rails the length of the part, the part can easily
be screwed to supports where needed to fasten the top securely
to its frame.
DURA-BENCH
ULTRA DESIGN
The Dura-Bench
Ultra design connects on all four (4) sides of
the panel allowing any combination of bench sizes to be
designed and fabricated. The flexible design allows for
1’ wide to 8’ wide benches. The Dura-Bench
Ultra design is 2’ wide by 4’ long
with (4) nylon clips along the 4’ side allowing parts
to be connected, and uses a (4) tab system that inserts
into the opposite end along the 2’ side of the panel.
This design allows panels to be inserted into each other
to get any length bench needed regardless of where the
supports are located.
